I love Branding!!

Branding is my old life although increasingly I’m getting to flex those marketing muscles again and I love it. However, I’m still an utter branding geek and certain things just get me excited! (that excited I wrote a quick blog when I was supposed to be making breakfast!)

Just look at what these household name brands have done to amend their iconic logos in order to reinforce the social distancing message.

It is so important right now that we switch from a strategic focus of sales and onto a focus of growth and customer - we’re all stuck at home, we’re all in the same boat and this is a really great opportunity for brands and businesses to speak to customers on a level playing field about topics that will really resonate. But, and this is key, do not come at it from a sales angle- think solidarity, education, awareness, comfort... remind customers of your existence and add value to them during these unusual times.

That’s the way to build your brand in a time of uncertainty. And don’t be afraid to do something different, because at the moment everything feels different so you’ve got nothing to lose!!
